| Violeta is the name of one of the greatest interpreters of Chilean song, Violeta Parra. A lavender "cat's eye" glass cube topped with copper resin beads hangs at the end of a long stainless steel clasp. These earrings are from the ATACAMA collection, which is intended as a tribute to the country of my 17 years, Chile. Atacama is the name of the desert in northern Chile where copper and lapis lazuli are extracted. The altitude, the wind of the highlands, the howling of the coyotes, the trickling of the waters of the Cordillera and the starry sky: each jewel is inspired by this harsh and immense nature. |
